Unicode / UTF-8 – Disambiguation
Unicode is an international standard to encode characters and other elements of text expressed in most of the world's writing systems. UTF‑8¹ is a character encoding capable of encoding all possible characters (called code points) in Unicode. There are other character encodings capable to do the same; UTF‑8 is the most commonly used encoding in the world wide web.
